After the recent featurette discussing the costume design and daily work of the show’s extras, HBO has revealed another new behind-the-scenes clip for Season 2 of HBO’s epic series Game Of Thrones, this week, whilst a set of character banners have also been released online.
Featuring the cast and crew talking about what we can expect from the new season, the new behind-the-scenes clip is an “Invitiation to the set” which includes commentary from executive producers and writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, production designer Gemma Jackson, and actors Gethin Anthony, Lena Headey, Peter Dinklage, Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington, and Richard Madden.
Created for HBO by Benioff and Weiss, the show is based on author George R. R. Martin’s best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire collection of fantasy novels, with season two based closely around the second novel A Clash of Kings. Set in the medieval fantasy world of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent struggles among the kingdom’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne. As the new second season opens, additional threats from the snow and ice-covered region north of Westeros and from the eastern continent across a narrow sea are simultaneously beginning to rise.
In the new clip the cast and crew discuss being back on set, the sense of pride from the first season, how exciting the new season will be as it has increasingly expanded with new sets and characters as they continue filming with a great team who have created something really fantastic. The new character banners, as well, give further hints as to what to expect from the new season, with intriguing tag lines cast over some of the characters.
Set to premiere on 1st April, yo can check out details of the 23 new British cast members joining the show this season here, and see the new clip and character banners below.
