The fourth trailer has arrived for the second season of HBO’s highly anticipated medieval fantasy series, Game of Thrones, this week. That’s right, another trailer; but only two weeks to go until we will finally get to see a full episode from the new series. It couldn’t come quick enough.
Titled “Price for our sins”, this latest trailer includes a lot of new footage and shows the more serious side of the series, highlighting the many different confrontations between those trying to take the Iron Throne for themselves.
Created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the series is based on author George R. R. Martinβs best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire collection of fantasy novels, with season two based closely around the second novel, A Clash of Kings. Set in the medieval fantasy world of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent struggles among the kingdomβs noble families for control of the Iron Throne. As the second season opens, additional threats from the snow and ice-covered region north of Westeros and from the eastern continent across a narrow sea are simultaneously beginning to rise.
Set to premiere on HBO on 1st April, you can see the new trailer below. Keep an eye out for a number of new character profiles and a synopsis of episode one that we will post later on in the week as well.
