Five New Feaurettes Ask to Pledge Your Allegiance For ‘Game of Thrones’

(Written for BritScene)

With the release of four new character profiles and the episode synopses for the first five episodes, as well as the fourth trailer for the second season of the medieval fantasy series, Game of Thrones, already this week, HBO now ask you to pledge allegiance in five new featurettes.

The featurettes look at five of the ‘houses’ in the series, the house of Baratheon – led in three divisions by Renly Baratheon (Gethin Anthony), Joffrey Baratheon (Jack Gleeson), and Stannis Baratheon (Stephen Dillane), the house of Stark – once led by Eddard Stark (Sean Bean) which has now been taken over by his son Robb (Richard Madden), the house of Lannister – led by the head of the Lannister family Tywin (Charles Dance), the house of Greyjoy – led by Balon Greyjoy (Patrick Malahide), and the house of Targaryen – led by Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke).

Created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the series is based on author George R. R. Martin’s best-selling A Song of Ice and Fire collection of fantasy novels, with season two based closely around the second novel, A Clash of Kings. Set in the medieval fantasy world of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, the series chronicles the violent struggles among the kingdom’s noble families for control of the Iron Throne. As the second season opens, additional threats from the snow and ice-covered region north of Westeros and from the eastern continent across a narrow sea are simultaneously beginning to rise.

Set to premiere on HBO on 1st April, you can see the new featurettes for season two of Game of Thrones below. Who will you choose?

House Baratheon

House Stark

House Lannister

House Greyjoy

House Targaryen
