(Written for Lost In The Multiplex)
A new trailer and poster has been released for the upcoming and most recent UK found footage film, The Dinosaur Project, this week.
The film, directed and co-written by Sid Bennett, follows a team of explorers in an expedition into the Congo jungle where they stumble upon a colony of Dinosaurs. After all the parties mysteriously go missing, their recovered footage shows stunning images of dinosaurs thought to be extinct for 65 million years.
The new poster is pretty impressive, but the trailer looks like a weird mix between The Blair Witch Project and Jurassic Park. I’m not quite sure what to think of the combination of genres at the minute, but it doesn’t look completely awful.
Starring Peter Brooke (Red Lights), Matt Kane (The Cut) and Natasha Loring (Beaver Falls) – all fairly unknown actors – the film is set to be released on 10th August.
