The Other Woman – Typical rom-com but with great cast who make it work.
Gimme Shelter – Vanessa Hudgens is jaw-droppingly amazing in this moving true story.
Locke – 85 minutes of Tom Hardy’s face, not intense as you’d hope.
A Million Ways To Die In The West – Family Guy comedy works well in this western, great cast supporting.
After Hours – Excellent dark comedy that constantly makes you wonder where it’s going.
I, Frankenstein – It’s probably as bad as you think it’s going to be.
Afternoon Delight – Sexy from start to finish, making up for the average drama.
Blue Ruin – Dark and intense with lots of gorey violence; a perfect thriller.
Always – A moving story, incredibly likeable characters, and a fantastic, humouring cast.
The Rock – Proof that Michael Bay can make good films; an entertaining thriller.
The Invention of Lying – Gervais implies that he’s God in this average but original comedy.
Hocus Pocus – A must watch every Halloween, forever an hilarious, nostalgic children’s classic.
Lethal Weapon – A fantastic start to a brilliant franchise with more serious edge.
We Are The Best – A nostalgic coming-of-age musical drama with inspiring, young characters.
Nine Months – Hugh Grant’s hair has never been floppier in decent relationship drama.
Monster House – An ugly animation, would make a better live action family horror.
Damien: Omen II – Takes ages to build up to the horror but decent sequel.
The Omen (1976) – A classic horror with all scares in all the right places.
Bad Neighbours – Funnier than it should be, but high school cringey at times.
How To Train Your Dragon 2 – As fun and adventurous as the first, with even more dragons.
All Is Lost – Little dialogue but still an intense watch with a tearful ending.
Away We Go – A brilliant romance with a relatable story and two lovely leads.
Amelia – Hilary Swank gives an impressive lead in this inspiring true story.
Waterworld – Almost an enjoyable adventure because of how bad it is, almost.
The Cold Light of Day – Bruce Willis doesn’t stick around long enough to make good action.
Violet & Daisy – Good darker sub plots, but too juvenile for an assassin thriller.
Lockout – So much potential with Guy Pearce leading, but doesn’t live up.
Underworld: Awakening – Some decent horror and gore, but it’s more boring than tense.
