The Angry Birds Movie (13th May)
We’ve all played the game on our mobiles, and now you can watch the film based on the Angry Birds. Directed by Clay Kaytis and Fergal Reilly, the film will star a voice cast including Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage.
Warcraft (3rd June)
This epic fantasy film, directed by Duncan Jones, is based on the Warcraft video game series and novels set in the world of Azeroth. The film portrays the origin story of the initial encounters between the humans and the orcs, with an emphasis upon both sides of the conflict. It stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Robert Kazinsky, Daniel Wu, Ruth Negga, Anna Galvin and Clancy Brown.
Assassin’s Creed (30th Dec)
Also based on a video game franchise, Assassin’s Creed, directed by Justin Kurzel, stars Michael Fassbender in the lead as Callum Lynch, who explores the memories of his ancestor Aguilar and gains the skills of a Master Assassin, and discovers he is a descendant of the secret Assassins society. He will star alongside Marion Cotillard, Michael K. Williams, Ariane Labed, Jeremy Irons, and Brendan Gleeson. (Image courtesy of Entertainment Weekly).
Ratchet And Clank (TBC)
This animation is also based on a platforming video game series, created by Insomniac Games. Directed by Jericca Cleland and Kevin Munroe, featuring an original story written by one of the company’s former senior writers, several cast members from the games will reprise their voice roles. Ratchet and Clank tells the story of two unlikely heroes (voiced by James Arnold Taylor and David Kaye) as they struggle to stop a vile alien from destroying every planet in the Solana Galaxy. When the two stumble upon a dangerous weapon capable of destroying entire planets, they must join forces with a team of colourful heroes called The Galactic Rangers in order to save the galaxy. The voice cast also includes Jim Ward, Sylvester Stallone, Bella Thorne, Rosario Dawson, Paul Giamatti, and John Goodman.
