Directed by Peyton Reed and the 20th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), Ant-Man and The Wasp follows Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) as he struggles to balance being both a superhero and a father, despite being confined to his home after being placed under house arrest after the events of Captain America: Civil War. Meanwhile, Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) and Dr Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) continue with their urgent new mission that finds the Ant-Man fighting alongside The Wasp to uncover secrets from their past.

With a lot more Paul Rudd comedy in this sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp is a great follow up to its 2015 predecessor which is full of fun and excitement.
A Marvel film that is more humour and entertainment than big-time action blockbuster, it is still a brilliant science-fiction adventure with excellent chemistry between Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, as well as a great supporting cast.
I didn’t care too much for the villain/background story, but the fight scenes and small car chases are brilliant, as they, once again, made great use of the shrinking/enlarging technology.
Best of all, Ant-Man and the Wasp brilliantly sets up the upcoming Endgame instalment as it introduces concepts of the quantum realm. With the post-credit scene tying the film into the events of Infinity War, as well, this was the perfect instalment to gear us up for what’s to come.
