TV Review: Killing Eve (BBC One) – Season Three

BBC’s Killing Eve returns for a third season as the chase continues between Eve Polastri (Sandra Oh) and assassin Villanelle (Jodie Comer). As Eve and Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) seek to avenge Kenny’s death, Villanelle is enticed back into targeted killing for a living by Dasha (Harriet Walter), a woman with her own back-catalogue of inventive kills.

Rating:

As this latest season explores Villanelle’s career ambitions, as well as delving into her past, there’s are many interesting stories that take place and there are certainly some compelling moments. However, it just wasn’t as exciting or daring this season.

Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh give more great performances. Their characters are still incredibly likeable and their chemistry is still strong. The season itself was still enjoyable to watch, but I didn’t find myself looking forward to it as I once did.

It definitely feels like it’s lost its spark now. Just like Villeneuve, I want out.
