Today is my stop on the Love Books Tours for this book. Thank you to Love Books and Buster Books for a free advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
When I’m trying to find a Christmas book that I will be able to re-read to my boys at Christmas for years to come, I look for a story that’s enjoyable to read, that has a memorable main character, is full of festive cheer, and that has a heartwarming message that teaches an important lesson. Steve the Christmas Elf delivers all of this.
The story is told in rhyme which is always a bonus for me, as I love to re-read stories that I can easily get into the rhythm of. A fun book to read, this is definitely a story that will fill younger readers with joy and get them excited for Christmas Eve.
Teaching about the importance of kindness, it tells a valuable lesson that is told in an original way. And although the message could have been stronger with a few more pages, it’s easy for younger readers to understand and is the perfect message for Christmas time.
If you’re looking for a book to put in an advent calendar or your Christmas Eve box this year, Steve the Christmas Elf is a great addition to your Christmas collection.
