Book Review: Eight Perfect Hours by Lia Louis

“An invisible red thread connects those who are destined to meet, regardless of time, place and circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle. But it will never break.”

Eight Perfect Hours by Lia Louis follows two strangers – 30-something Noelle and handsome American Sam – on a snowy evening in March, who meet in chance circumstances during a blizzard. The couple spend eight perfect eight hours together, thinking they’ll never see each other again. But fate seems to have different plans. As the two keep serendipitously bumping into one another, they begin to realize that perhaps there truly is no such thing as coincidence.

Rating:

I say this every time but I really don’t read romances often. But when I saw such great reviews for this one, I knew I had to make it one of my Valentine’s reads this year.

I love books about serendipity so Eight Perfect Hours was right up my street. I’m happy to forgive light-hearted books like this for their completely unrealistic circumstances so all of that aside, this was such a lovely read!

Sometimes you just need a nonsensical feel-good book and to fall for characters who are obviously meant to be together. If I read more romances, I might have wanted more. But for me, it perfectly filled the gap.
