In anticipation for the upcoming release of Pixels on 12th August, this week we take a look at some of the best video game moments in film.

From Scott Pilgrim playing a fictional version of Dance Dance Revolution, to Wreck-It Ralph leaving his own game to win a heroes medal of his own, when a scene involves going to the arcades or sees a character playing one of our favourite video games, we’re suddenly filled with a huge amount of nostalgia.

Top 5 Most Romantic Nicholas Sparks Moments

In anticipation for the upcoming adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks novel, we’ve decided to take a look at five of the most romantic moments in the film versions of his work so far.

Directed by George Tillman Jr., with screenplay by Craig Bolotin, The Longest Ride is an adaptation of Sparks’ 17th romance novel of the same name, which was originally published in 2013. The film, set to be released on 19th June, stars Britt Robertson and Scott Eastwood in the leads, and follows a young couple who witness a car crash involving an older man, whose lives intertwine as he reflects back on a past love.

If you’re a fan of literary adaptations then no doubt you’ll currently have your head stuck in a copy of Joyce Maynard’s emotional coming-of-age novel Labor Day, Nick Hornby’s heart-warming suicide drama A Long Way Down, or maybe even Veronica Roth’s debut dystopian Divergent. What we’re looking forward to most, however, is Richard Ayoade’s upcoming adaptation of Russian author Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s dark comedy novella, The Double.
