Gerard Butler to Star in ‘Olympus Has Fallen’

Scottish actor Gerard Butler has signed to star in Olympus Has Fallen at Millennium Films, an action film described as “Die Hard” in the White House, reports have confirmed.

Written by newcomers Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt, the film follows a down-on-his-luck ex-Secret Service agent who becomes America’s only hope when 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. is taken over by terrorists.

Four New Character Profiles & Five Episode Synopsis for ‘Game of Thrones’

After the release of the fourth trailer for season two of HBO’s medieval fantasy series, Game of Thrones, earlier this week, we now have four new character profiles and the episode synopses for the first five episodes.

The new character profiles re-introduce us to some of the cast that we first met in season one, featuring videos for Robb Stark played by Richard Madden, Jon Snow played by Kit Harington, Daenerys Targaryen played by Emilia Clarke, and Joffrey Baratheon played by Jack Gleeson.

Disney have released eleven new character posters for Pixar’s upcoming 3D fantasy adventure Brave this week, highlighting both the film’s Scottish cast and Pixar’s stunning animation and attention to detail.

‘Bel Ami’ Starring Robert Pattinson Gets US Release Date

TV Series About ‘Braveheart’ Hero William Wallace In Development

A scripted drama series based on the legendary Scottish knight, William Wallace, is in development, it has been announced this week.

Portrayed by American actor Mel Gibson in the 1995 Oscar-winning film Braveheart, the TV biopic will focus on Wallace’s years spent trying to unify Scotland as well as his loves and losses and his legendary battles with King Edward the Longshank and rival Robert the Bruce.

‘Gnomeo & Juliet’ Sequel In The Making With New Elton John Songs

Elton John’s Rocket Pictures has begun plotting a sequel to 2011 Disney hit film, Gnomeo & Juliet, it has been announced this week, as they set up the 3D animated Gnomeo & Juliet: Sherlock Gnomes.

Reuniting the gnome cast from the film’s predecessor that grossed $194 million worldwide last year, the sequel begins when a number of gnomes start disappearing from the suburban gardens of England.

UK Series ‘Skins’ To End With One Final Series & Former Stars To Return

Channel 4 has announced this week that E4’s British teen drama series Skins will bow out with one final series, where famous Skins characters from all six series will star in ‘celebratory’ reappearances.

“Channel 4 today confirmed that next year’s series of E4’s teen drama Skins will be its last,” the broadcaster commented earlier this week. The series has now been recommissioned for a special seventh run, the final in the series, which will be made of three films broken into six parts.
