BLOG TOUR: Her Perfect Bones (Rockwell And Decker #2) by Ellery Kane

The second instalment in Ellery Kane‘s Rockwell And Decker series, Her Perfect Bones picks up in Fog Harbor, California, with Detective Will Decker and Criminal Psychologist Olivia Rockwell when the body of a young girl is found in a barrel. Her body is curled up like a shell and almost completely buried in sand, with only her fingertips reaching helplessly out of the top towards an escape she will never find. The local police are at a loss, until Olivia recognizes the ragdoll in one of the girl’s last photographs. She used to own one just like it, and it can only mean one thing: if she doesn’t dig deep into the mind of a deadly killer from her past — her own father — more innocent lives will be in danger.

My 2020 Reading Wrap-Up

Over the past couple of years, I have documented every film that I have watched and reviewed them all using Letterboxd. As a way to motivate myself to read more, I thought I would do the same for what books I have been reading, using Goodreads as a way to set myself a reading challenge every year.

I initially set my target as 25 books this year, but a few things happened that meant I reached this goal quite early on. Firstly, I had a baby, so this meant that I was awake at silly hours with plenty of time to read. Then, there was lockdown. Because of lockdown, I decided to join Bookstagram and NetGalley and get more serious about reviewing books. So now, instead of reading two books at most a month, I’ve been reading up to ten.

I upped my goal to 60 around halfway through the year, and still managed to pass that by reaching 74 books. This year has really rekindled my love of books, and I can’t wait to start 2021 with this new passion.

Book Review: Watch Her Vanish (Rockwell and Decker #1) by Ellery Kane

The first book in the Rockwell and Decker series and written by Ellery A. Kane, Watch Her Vanish follows Criminal Psychologist Olivia Rockwell who is forced home to Fog Harbor, California, to look after her little sister. Struggling to adjust to life in a town so small she can hardly breathe, things take a turn for the worst when a scream leads her to the body of a missing local teacher, and all evidence points to Olivia’s most threatening patient, who is safely locked up behind bars.
