New ‘Cloud Atlas’ Character Profiles Span The Ages

As well as the release of the first trailer for writer/directors Lana Wachowski, Andy Wachowski, and Tom Tykwer’s upcoming adaptation of David Mitchell’s Cloud Atlas this month, the film’s official website have now released a number of images of the film’s cast, showing that some of the film’s actors take on multiple roles and characters across the centuries that the film spans.

The incredible cast for this film includes Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Doona Bae, Ben Whishaw, James D’Arcy, Xun Zhou, Keith David, David Gyasi, Susan Sarandon, and Hugh Grant, most of whom can be seen in the new images which include Grant as a futuristic tribesman, Hanks as a gangster, and Berry as a white woman. What a combination, right?

First Trailer & Poster for ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the first trailer for Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey online today. Not only is the trailer brilliant, but there’s also a lot of British actors in this, and we already can’t wait to see it.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey is the first of a two-part series of films to be adapted from J.R.R. Tolkien‘s novel of the same name, the prequel to The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Jackson, director of The Lord of the Rings, returns as director and also serves as producer and co-writer.

Film Review: Captain America – The First Avenger

Directed by Joe Johnston, Captain America: The First Avenger is the fifth installment to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (after Iron Man, The Hulk, Iron Man 2 and Thor) which was established by crossing over shared plot elements, settings, cast, and characters. Although he is the last of the superheroes we are introduced to in preparation for 2012’s The Avengers, Captain America is ‘The First Avenger’ and the film focuses on the earliest days of the Marvel Universe.
