DVD Review: Jeff, Who Lives At Home

Directed and written by Jay and Mark Duplass and premiered at the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival, Jeff, Who Lives At Home follows slacker Jeff (Jason Segel) who is dispatched from his basement room on an errand for his mother, Sharon (Susan Sarandon). Set across one day, Jeff is determined to follow what he believes to be a ‘sign’ about what to do with his life, as he sets off on a journey to find his destiny, leading him to spend the day with his brother Pat (Ed Helms) who’s tracking down his possibly adulterous wife, Linda (Judy Greer).

Film Review: The Muppets

The Muppets, directed by James Bobin, follows Walter (performed by Peter Linz), the world’s biggest Muppet fan, and his brother Gary (Jason Segel) and Gary’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) who must raise $10 million to save the Muppet Theater from Tex Richman (Chris Cooper), a businessman with plans to demolish the building to dig for oil. To raise the money, the trio must first attempt to reunite The Muppets cast, who have each gone off in new directions with Fozzie Bear performing with a group of Muppet impersonators, the Moopets, Gonzo working as a plumbing magnate, Animal has ended up in a celebrity anger-management clinic sponsored by Jack Black and Miss Piggy working as Vogue Paris’s editor for plus-sized fashion. So will the trio be able to get the cast back together for one big show to save their heritage? Of course they will, it’s the Muppets!

New Poster for ‘Jeff Who Lives At Home’ Starring Jason Segel and Ed Helms

From the creators of Cyrus, Jay and Mark Duplass, Jeff Who Lives at Home has been given a new poster this week. The film, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last September, looks at the complicated relationship between two brothers, played by Jason Segel and Ed Helms.

On his way to the store to buy wood glue, slacker Jeff (Segel) looks for signs from the universe to determine his path. However, a series of comedic and unexpected events leads him to cross paths with his family in the strangest of locations and circumstances. He might discover his destiny, however, when he spends the day with his brother Pat (Helms) as he tracks his possibly adulterous wife.

Disney has released a sneak peek at the opening dance sequence from the highly anticipated The Muppets this week.

The clip is short but it certainly lets us know what we are in for. And that’s a whole load of fun, familiar faces and goofiness. Now, all we need is for February to hurry up.

Jason Segel Talks ‘This Is Forty’ and Hopes To Make A Kids Adventure Film

With the release of The Muppets a few months away (10th February, 2012), Jason Segel has this week confirmed that his character from knocked Up will return in Judd Apatow’s This Is Forty will be the same from Knocked Up and that he also hopes to make a new puppet film in vein of Goonies and Labyrinth.

Film Review: Get Him To The Greek

Get Him To The Greek is a spin-off to 2008’s Forgetting Sarah Marshall, both directed by Nicholas Stoller and written by Stoller and Jason Segel. GHTTG is a hilarious comedy following Aaron Green (Jonah Hill), playing a completely new character a few years later when he is somehow working in the music industry. He receives the almost impossible mission of escorting British rock god Aldous Snow (Russell Brand) to LA’s Greek Theatre for the first stop on his tour.
