TV Review: Snowpiercer (Netflix) – Season One

Created by Josh Friedman and Graeme Manson and based on the Bong Joon-ho film of the same name which was released in 2013, which in turn is based on the 1982 French graphic novel Le Transperceneige, the ten-part Netflix series aired in May 2020. A reboot of the film’s continuity, the series follows the passengers of the Snowpiercer, a gigantic, perpetually moving train that circles the globe carrying the remnants of humanity seven years after the world becomes a frozen wasteland. Built by billionaire Wilford, the train is rigidly separated by class, with passengers caught up in a revolutionary struggle against the strictly imposed social hierarchy and unbalanced allocation of limited resources.

Film Review: Noah

Directed and co-written by Darren Aronofsky, Noah is a biblically inspired epic that follows the story of a man, Noah (Russell Crowe), and his family – his wife Naameh (Jennifer Connelly), sons Shem (Douglas Booth), Ham (Logan Lerman), and Japheth (Leo McHugh Carroll), Shem’s wife Ila (Emma Watson), and grandfather Methuselah (Anthony Hopkins) – who is chosen by his world’s creator to undertake a momentous mission before an apocalyptic flood cleanses the world. A story of courage, sacrifice and hope, as Noah is faced by an army led by the man who killed his father, Tubal-cain (Ray Winstone), how far will he go to accomplish a task set to him by God?

Anthony Hopkins Climbs Aboard The Ark for Darren Aronofsky’s Noah

The cast for Darren Aronofsky‘s Biblical retelling of Noah just keeps getting better and better, with Sir Anthony Hopkins becoming the most recently announced to board the ark.

Hopkins, best known for his role as Hannibal, will play Noah’s grandfather, the 900-year-old Methusaleh, who dies seven days before the Great Flood.

Emma Watson In Talks To Join Aronofsky’s ‘Noah’

Emma Watson is in talks to join Darren Aronofsky’s cast of Noah, it has been recently announced, an upcoming Biblical retelling of the classic tale of Noah and his ark.

Already starring Russell Crowe as the Biblical ark builder, Watson is in discussions to play Ila, a young woman who develops a close relationship with Noah’s son, Shem, who will be played by Douglas Booth.
