With filming now underway for The Hunger Games sequel, Catching Fire, this week we have the first collection of set photos to be leaked out, which includes a first look at new tributes Finnick Odair, Mags, Gloss, Beetee, and Enobaria, who will be joining Katniss and Peeta in the second adaptation based on Suzanne Collins acclaimed Hunger Games trilogy of novels.

Revealed at Comic-Con earlier this week, Mark Tonderai‘s upcoming thriller, House at the End of the Street, has a new clip, and it’s sure to make you jump!
Directed by Tonderai and written by Jonathan Mostow, the film is a twist on the familiar horror story of a family – Elisabeth Shue (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation) and Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games) – who move into a house and things start to go badly wrong. In this case, it turns out that he house next door was the scene of a brutal murder, where a young girl murdered her parents, where the only survivor still resides.

The first in a trilogy of novels written by Suzanne Collins‘ best-selling series, The Hunger Games is set in a dystopian future where, in order to maintain peace in the 12 districts of Panem, 24 young representatives are forced to compete in a televised game each year, where they must fight to the death until only one remains. With the film adaptation directed by Gary Ross, the story centres on the character of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), a young woman living in the poorest of districts who, when her sister Primrose (Willow Shields) is chosen to compete in the games, volunteers herself as tribute alongside fellow district competitor Peeta (Josh Hutcherson).
Pitted against the richest of tributes, who have been training all their lives, Katniss is thrown into the colourful world of the rich in interviews with TV host Caeser Flickerman (Stanley Tucci), stylist Cinna (Lenny Kravitz), and Game escort Effie Trinket (Elizabeth Banks). But with only the mentoring skills of the drunk and bitter Haymitch (Woody Harrelson) to prepare her, does Katniss even stand a chance of returning home to her family? And how will seducing her district competitor in order to attract sponsors affect the harbouring romance she has with Gale (Liam Hemsworth) back at home?

Lionsgate has released a new IMAX banner for the first film in an adaptation of Suzanne Collins‘ best-selling and eagerly awaited trilogy of novels, The Hunger Games, with a set of new character images that have also made their way online this week.
Directed by Gary Ross, the big screen adaptation is set in a post-apocalyptic North America, now named Panem, where teenagers are chosen to battle to the death in annual televised games where only one can survive, an attempt to maintain control by those living in the Capitol in this very dystopian society.

The latest image for the big screen adaptation of the first novel in Suzanne Collins‘ The Hunger Games trilogy introduces us to the latest big name to join the cast, Lenny Kravitz.
After his first feature-film role in the 2009 drama Precious, this is only singer-songwriter Kravitz’s second non-cameo role. “In the last 22 years, while I was making my music, I was offered a lot of films,” Kravitz told Rolling Stone. “I just didn’t find the roles very interesting – a lot of clichéd type of stuff and really obvious things. I didn’t want to make films because I can. There’s no point in that.”

Directed by Drake Doremus, Like Crazy tells the story of British student Anna (Felicity Jones) who, whilst studying in America, begins a relationship with Jacob (Anton Yelchin). Unable to resist spending the summer with him before having to return home, Anna overstays her visa and, after a short trip back to her hometown in England, is denied re-entry into America. The couple must now face a long-term relationship, but as they find comfort in new company, Anna with Simon (Charlie Bewley) and Jacob with Sam (Jennifer Lawrence), the two begin to struggle with the pressure, yet they remain determined to make it work.
Over the day, 100 different websites from all over the world have released a single, small piece of the new Hunger Games poster in a jigsaw-style puzzle viral event.
The film, directed by Gary Ross, follows twelve Districts who each send a girl and boy, trained in combat, into the heart of a jungle until only one is left alive. Adapted from Suzanne Collins’ 2008 young adult science fiction novel, it stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Wes Bentley, Elizabeth Banks, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Lenny Kravitz, Toby Jones, and Donald Sutherland, and is set to be released on 23rd March, 2012.

Ever wondered how X Men’s Mystique looked so good without any CGI? With the release of X-Men: First Class on DVD and Blu-ray next week (September 9th), Fox have released a behind-the-scenes featurette to show the seven-hour process that Jennifer Lawrence had to go through to look the right shade of blue on-screen.
X-Men: First Class is the prequel to the X-Men franchise and is directed by Kick Ass‘ Matthew Vaughn. This latest addition to the, until now, trilogy details the formation of Professor Charles Xavier’s (James McAvoy) school for young mutants, focusing on his relationship with Magneto (Michael Fassbender) and where it took a wrong turn, and explaining the origin of the rival mutant teams, introducing us to both younger characters from the previous films and to new characters as well, showcasing a handful of extraordinary new powers.
