TV Review: The Stranger (Netflix) – Season One

Written by Danny Brocklehurst and based on the Harlan Coben novel of the same name, The Stranger premiered on Netflix in January 2020. The series follows a happily married father of two, Adam Price (Richard Armitage), whose life is turned upside-down after a stranger (Hannah John-Kamen) tells him a secret about his wife. The revelation has a devastating impact on his seemingly perfect life, catapulting him into a world of danger.

Luis Prieto Talks Remaking Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Pusher’

Set to have its world premiere at this year’s Edinburgh Film Festival, Charlie Derry interviews Luis Prieto, director of the upcoming crime thriller, Pusher, about remaking a Nicolas Winding Refn cult classic, as well as working with British actor Richard Coyle and world-class model Agyness Deyn.

Set to be released later this year, Pusher is the first in a trilogy of films that explores the criminal underworld of Copenhagen, Denmark. Originally written and directed by Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn, best known for last year’s highly acclaimed crime thriller, Drive, and released in 1996 with the same name, Pusher is known for being the film that launched Refn’s career.

First Trailer for ‘Pusher’ Remake, Starring British Actor Richard Coyle

Yahoo Movies has released the first trailer for Luis Prieto‘s English-language remake of Nicolas Winding Refn’s gangster movie, Pusher, this week.

Originally directed by Refn (Drive) and released in 1996, the film follows a London drug pusher named Frank, played by Richard Coyle (W.E. & TV’s Coupling), for a full week as his life turns into chaos after a deal goes wrong. The more desperate his behavior gets, the more isolated he becomes until there is nothing left standing between him and the nine millimeter bullet his debtors intend to put through his skull.

Remake Of Nicolas Winding Refn’s ‘Pusher’ Gets a US Release

The Weinstein Company’s VOD-oriented label Radius-TWC has picked up the US and Caribbean rights to the English-language remake of Nicolas Winding Refn‘s 1996 movie, Pusher.

Originally directed by Refn (Drive) and released in 1996, the film follows a London drug pusher named Frank, originally played by Kim Bodnia, for a full week as his life turns into chaos after a deal goes wrong. The more desperate his behavior gets, the more isolated he becomes until there is nothing left standing between him and the nine millimeter bullet his debtors intend to put through his skull.
